I wanted to go back in time to 2012 and take a quick look back before moving forward with this project.
A time when I was just getting started with taking my photography to the next level, blogging, social media, driving around the state of Florida on weekend adventures, seeking out opportunities to capture images; boy, times have changed!
I went to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine to find out when I had first started the Revenge of the Jpeg domain, and found a little time travel treasure, some memories that made me “re-appreciate” what got me started in photography to begin with.
Here is a post from 20212, a trip Debra and I made to Fort de Soto, a beautiful place to visit on the Gulf Coast. If you are ever in Pinellas County, it is a must-see destination.

I was also very pleasantly surprised that when I clicked on the image, the Internet Archive had preserved the photo on 500px.com as well!

You can find my modern gallery here:

I spent the early part of 2026 curating a 15+ year review of my images and selecting 100 to represent my journey.
Now, lets move forward and start our adventure of shooting straight out of camera!
